Sidsel  Strom  is  a  jazz  singer-songwriter  from Denmark. Sidsel makes her first movements into the  world  of  jazz  attending  the  Den  Rytmiske H?jskole  in  Vig.  Then  in  2003,  she  began studying  voice  at  Musikalsk  Grundkursus  in Copenhagen.  She  attended  the  jazz  meet Brandbjerg  Jazzst?vne  2003?2004,  where  she sang,  met  great  musicians,  made  new  friends and immersed herself in jazz. The following year, Sidsel  started  her  jazz  band  Sidsel  Storm Quartet, performing at jazz festivals in Denmark. She  also  joined  the  pop?electro  band  Next  to Beluga.

Continuing  her  3  years  of  study  at MGK,  Sidsel also  began  studying musicology  at  openhagen University.  No  matter  how  tightly  packed  her  program,  nothing  could  stop  Sidsel  from playing music: busier  than ever,  she also  sang backing vocals  for other bands and  singers,
such as Amalie Bruun and Captain Mirage.

2007
In  New  York,  she  was  granted  a  place  in  two-year-degree  Voice  Embodiment,  for professional  singers and  singing  teachers. Sidsel and Malene Mortensen  recorded backing vocals  for the Homeless Football World Cup. Sidsel Storm has taken the best  from the  last
50 years of jazz, pop and rock and delivers her own version of contemporary vocal jazz. She has a voice with an eminent power, whether she detains it or opens it up. Sidsel’s debut solo album, Sidsel Storm, was released on 26 May 2008, featuring musicians as Morten  Lund,  Jacob Karlzon,  Jesper Thorn, Gunnar Halle and Alexander Kraglund.
